Herfinance Club is proud to support the google initiative "#IamRemarkable."
Women empowering women” is a mantra we love to live by, and one that has helped to inspire women for decades. Where would we be without each other?
In honor of International Women’s Day 2022 theme, #breakthebias the Herfinance Club is shining a light on this symbolic theme by uplifting women and choosing to challenge with a series of FREE #IamRemarkable workshops throughout 2022.Join Waiting List
The #IamRemarkable initiative strives to empower women and underrepresented groups to speak openly about their accomplishments in the workplace and beyond, thereby breaking modesty norms and glass ceilings.
- Did you know women earn 20% less on average than their white male counterparts, with minority women earning much less (For example, Black women earn 38% less and Latina women earn 46% less).
- Did you know that one of the big hurdle’s women face is expressing their achievements in a working environment.
So, we need to address this. Because the benefits of self-promotion —are vast. Especially when it comes to identifying your worth as a business or professional woman and negotiating your salary or cost of service. If we want to be recognized for the work we do and advance in our careers, we must fight through the discomfort and learn how to self-promote.
Start practicing self-promotion in a safe setting like our #IamRemarkable workshop or with a good friend now. This may feel cringe-worthy and awkward for some of us (or maybe all of us!), but this is AN important exercise! Remember, like all skills, self-promotion takes practice.
Despite all the external factors holding us back, we are the captains of our destiny. We need to learn to take the rudder and steer instead of waiting for someone to guide us.
Seats are limited to 15 for the #IamRemarkable workshop. Learn more about this Google initiative HERE.
